In a significant recognition of coaching excellence, Minnesota Lynx Head Coach Cheryl Reeve has been named one of the best head coaches in the WNBA, according to the 2025 WNBA General Manager Survey. Reeve received a commanding 83% of the votes, solidifying her status as a top-tier leader in the league.

The annual GM survey, conducted by the WNBA league office, polls all 12 general managers on a variety of topics including best players, top rookies, and elite coaching talent. This year, Reeve’s dominance in the “Best Head Coach” category is a testament to her consistent success and strategic acumen.

Reeve, who has been at the helm of the Lynx since 2010, has built a legacy that includes four WNBA championships (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017) and numerous playoff appearances. Her ability to evolve with the game, develop young talent, and maintain a culture of excellence has kept Minnesota in contention year after year.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by my peers across the league,” Reeve said in a brief statement. “This is a reflection of the players and staff who bring everything they have to the team every day.”

The Lynx have shown promise early in the 2025 season, with a balanced roster and a renewed focus on defense and ball movement—hallmarks of Reeve’s coaching philosophy. With this latest acknowledgment, Cheryl Reeve continues to cement her legacy not only as the face of the Lynx franchise but as a guiding force in the WNBA’s evolution.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Minnesota to see if Reeve can once again steer her team toward another deep playoff run.
