In a bold and heartfelt move, NBA All-Star and Minnesota Timberwolves sensation Anthony Edwards is making headlines for more than just his performance on the court. The 23-year-old shooting guard has announced a $7.5 million personal investment to transform a historic home in downtown Minneapolis into a state-of-the-art shelter for homeless youth.

The initiative, called Edwards House, will offer housing, meals, counseling, job training, and education support to teens and young adults experiencing homelessness. The facility is expected to serve over 100 youth annually and will also partner with local schools and nonprofits.

“I’ve been blessed, and I never forget where I came from,” Edwards said in a tweet that quickly went viral. “This is bigger than basketball. Every kid deserves a safe place to sleep and dream.”

The home, a 10,000-square-foot Victorian estate near Loring Park, is already undergoing renovations and is slated to open this winter. Fans and community leaders have praised Edwards for using his rising platform and influence to make a lasting impact in his city.
